Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Installation - 2016 Mini Cooper- Video
Colin: Hey everyone. It's Colin here at Etrailer, and today we have a 2016 Mini Cooper. We're going to do a test fit of the Thule Wingbar Evo Roof Rack System. Now, this is a roof rack system that will mount to the naked roof of your Hardtop Mini Cooper is going to allow you to get any of your favorite rooftop accessories loaded up here, whether you have a bike rack, kayak carrier, maybe even a small rooftop cargo box.Now up top, we're going to have our 47-inch Long Wing bar, Evo crossbars. These are going to be really nice and durable, and they have a nice aerodynamic shape. That combined with a rubber stripping up top is going to help cut down on that wind noise and drag, especially when you compare it to a standard square or round bar roof rack system. more

SeaSucker Roof Rack Review - 2014 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on our 2014 Mini Cooper we're going to take a look at our SeaSucker Monkey Bar Roof Rack System. Now this would be a good choice for you if you're not wanting to make any permanent modifications, or say even if you have multiple vehicles in the house that you would like to use it with. It doesn't use any special parts for different vehicles. So what you see is what you get and that's everything you're going to need.Now here in a moment I'll show you how to install our system here, but first I'd like to take a minute to kind of touch base on some of the features it has really quick. As you can see, our crossbars are held in place with our vacuum cups here. They're made to have a softer finish to them. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Mini Clubman- Video
Today, on this 2010 MINI Clubman, we're going to be installing the Thule Traverse Roof Rack, with part numbers THLB50, which are the bars, part number TH480, which is the foot pack, and part number THKIT1680, which is going to be your fit kit. The Thule Traverse Roof Rack is a perfect solution if you want to carry bike racks, cargo baskets, water sport carriers, or even ski and snowboard carriers. The Thule load bars are nice and sturdy, with a weight capacity of 165 pounds, although you do want to check with your owner's manual, to make sure that your car can withstand that weight. The bars themselves are galvanized steel, with a rubber coating around it, so it will not rust or corrode, and it will add 00:00:38 for a little bit of padding for your bike racks or other accessories. The Thule Traverse Roof Rack can also lock to your roof. You have this portion here, which can be knocked out and be replaced with a lock core, which you can purchase separately. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack, let's show you how it installs. Now, you will have to make some modifications to your vehicle, and that just means, taking some measurements of making cuts into this rubber strip here just above the window. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2005 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on our 2005 Mini Cooper we're going to be test fitting the Thule Traverse roof rack system using the 50" square bars and the Thule short roof adapter kit. Part numbers THLB50, TH480R, THKIT1366, and TH487. To begin our test fit we're going to open the front doors of our Cooper. We'll then grab the front half of our roof rack. We're going to place it onto the front roof line. Per Thule's fit guide we're going to measure 4-3/4" from the top right edge of the passenger side window back to the leading edge of the foot pack. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. With our measurements done we'll take the supplied tool and tighten down a little bit at a time going from side to side to secure this portion of our rack. more

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2004 Mini Cooper- Video
Today on our 2004 Mini Cooper we'll be test fitting the Yakima Round Bar Roof Racking System part numbers y00408, y00683, y00716, and y00124. Now with our Q towers already assembled to our crossbars we'll first start off by locating the slots on the vehicle. We have found that it is easier to insert the Q clips into the hidden slots before installing the bars onto the vehicle. We'll locate the slot using a thin piece of plastic or a credit card. After locating the slot from the measurements Yakima provides we'll slide the Q clip into the hidden slots. Remember that there are two different sets of Q clips. more
